After two months of hard work, struggling and battling amongst the participants Funkerman can finally announce the winners of his Automatic Remix Contest.
More then 4000 dj’s/producers all around the world joined the competition and more then 500 participants send in their remix. Because of the enormous number of entries Funkerman decided to give away one extra prize!
Besides that, the Automatic Remix Contest became a real hype on the internet! Everybody was talking about it and lots of remixes were distributed on the social networking sites. Producers were getting in touch with each other and the Questions & Answers topic on the Funkerman Website Forum was born.
Funkerman: I never expected this amount of entries and the big hype around it. It’s good to see that there are a lot of talented producers all around the world. I can tell you it was a tough job to select 10 finalists! I want to thank everybody who participateted and supported this remix contest and I also want to thank I4 Muzique & M-Audio for their support. For now I can only say: Watch out and stay tuned for the next competition ;-)

And surprisingly it’s called Blackbird! With so much new music arriving at Flamingo HQ, and in so many differing styles, a mini spread of the wings was in order and thus Blackbird was born.
We’re still not done… Every 2 weeks on Dutch Radio station 3FM, Flamingo Music takes over the airwaves for 1 hour in BNN’s show The Sense of Dance.
…In the music of course! Fedde le Grand and Funkerman and their alter egos F.L.G. and the F-Man have laid down a double album entitled Flamingo Nights Vol. 1, Ibiza.
We are just a two singles away from the long awaited release of Fedde Le Grand’s debut artist album.
Its already been 5 years before Flamingo Recordings saw the day of light.
As with anything that’s released on Flamingo Recordings, a high element of fun is essential and so with this next release from F.L.G. and the F-Man, the fun is laid on super thick!
During the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Fedde le Grand announced that he joined the dance4life family and as of April he will become a worldwide ambassador for the organization.
