I like the fact that this time there are more different styles to choose from. these are my favorites:
Midibyte is proper roaring elecro, some of the bigger guys could learn from him! and Funkadelic had a winning receipe from last contest, but he improved it very well. The Lee Elliot remix could be great as well if the vocals were re-recorded. And finally big love for Tamerlan & Jons, it's a house track with classic house attitude, that's hard to find these days..
Hope you all get on one EP, i'd buy all of the tracks!
Not nice of you to say this about my mix, I worked hard (40 hours). And yes the melody sounds a bit similar, but he is my big idol.

You are right but I think it´s OK. I think that all of us know how difficult is to make something really new. We are all using some effects like sidechaining, noise and some build ups and others... And I also think that Minimal, Progressive and Electro sounds are often very similar, it´s something like "print" to this style.
But I desagree with absolute copy!
So respect to all producers with own idea about track "Now or never"! :)

I wanted to make a version where the vocals Shermanology will be expressed, because this is a primary producer contest. Shermanology vocals by itself sounds a "house", and I did not want to spoil the heavy music.
I think that many in this Contest tracks worked as a "remix", I think it was the wrong approach to most participants in this contest.
In the main, I wanted to create original and unique track basic version of this song.
I withdraw my comment on Casimir. Sorry bro your sound nice, but to me it also sound like a copy, altough you didn't use samples. @Localdj thanks for letting me know, didn't know the Tiesto track yet, glad you're sharp!

have been listening to the Iskren remix for some time now, and i totally get why people dig this. But did anyone else get this awkward feeling? i closed my eyes while listening to this and immediately i started seeing this hairy sweaty dude playing his ancient keyboard with cheesy piano/guitar/panflute presets in some half-abandoned hotel in low season, when there are only old people in their bathing suits. Around the second solo i started seeing those long-haired indian panflute players you always see on local markets trying to sell some semi-spiritual panflute cd.. Alright sorry, i'll stop ranting now.. :P

It's all about taste... It's no use to say a track is bad, cause everyone took a lot time and afford to make his/hers track. Remix or original, you still have to come up with the idea. I like Funkadelic's track just because it's sound familiar. Nothing more, nothing less...

I fully agree with this opinion!! I think too that not everyone of the finalists though on that idea to do an "own" production, witch could be called an "Original Mix" later, the most either made a "Remix" style... so thats why i prefer the version of DJ ISKREN !!

I had a different approach to doing my version of "Now Or Never". Although it may seem abit hit and miss to some people, I found it fun to do. There are some very strong remixes out there of this track, they are all very VERY good. Did I peev afew people off by highering the vocals (or as one bloke on youtube put it "chipmunking") maybe?. It's a fun remix that doesn't pretend to be serious, I have heard people making great versions of popular tracks and felt I would do the same. Don't get me wrong this is an explaination of my remix, not a rant.
I am very glad that all my friends and family took the time to vote for my remix, I'm more so glad to be in the top 10. I entered the last competition "Automatic" and never heard a sniff, difference being it sounded the same too much. Hence I went away and did something completley out of my usual genre.

Funkadelic: Good structure and perfect sound but it sound too boring for me...
DJ Iskren: I don't like it this remix, good technique but the melody in the song seems randomly...
Barany Attila & No End: style like Mark knight, beautiful remix, but not original...copy from mark knight style and Gina Star Hollywood
Tamerlan & Djons: Nothing, perfect idea and sound!
Casimir: Nice but too similar at Avicii style
Lee Elliot: I don't like it
Midibyte: this have a good technique but the remix is bad for me....
Deep N Lazy: very nice but not the best
