Mix Downs and Mastering Sources??
Hey guys
Just wanted to see if any of you had some good sources to read up more on getting the perfect balance between the mixdown levels and also the mastering the process.
I've recently finished my latest track 'Flamenco Guitar (Planet Rock)'
http://soundcloud.com/dj_jass/flamenco-guitar-planet-rock-che-jose-5
and have received good feedback on it however i know that the mix can be approved a hell of a lot more with the rite care during the mixdown and mastering. I'm no sound engineer and everything i know (which isnt much) i have tried to incoporate into this mix to make it sound as best possible within what i know.
I'm trying to find some good sources that i can read up on, in regards to getting the rite balance on the mixdown (BUS) Chanels, mastering ect.
I know that this is something i really need to work on much more to get the most out of my productions. Any sources would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance

Hi Chejose,
Here are some examples of websites that offer useful resources about mixing/mastering:

And here you will find a great book about mixing/engineering by Bob Owsinski:

Thank you Raf ill definatly check them out. Correct Mixdowns and mastering seem to be a complete art on its own. :)
The trouble is, that every track needs there own art. So you can't just use a mastering plugin..
Very true this is why im trying to learn the ins and outs of proper EQ compression, on my mix down :)
If u use a spectrum on your master you see if there is enough low, mid or high so you can fix that. Works for me!
the book is very interesting

Thanks for sharing this information. I really like your way of expressing the opinions and sharing the information. It is good to move as chance bring new things in life, paves the way for advancement, etc. But it is well known to everyone that moving to new location with bulk of goods is not an easy task to move or shift from one place to other place because I have experienced about that and I face the problem like that. There I go to village near to my city faced that problem there.
