Hey all, just wanted to get some ideas on exactly equipement some of you guys are using?

I've recently upgraded to a quad core 3ghz xeon intel dell, with 16 megs of ram with Windows 7 x64 and i find that this thing flies. However I was using an ESI ESP1010 sound card and i had all sorts of problems running it on Windows 7. After about a week of mucking around i finally got it working.

I've also moved from FL to Cubase 5 and im loving it (recently finished my Now or Never entry in Cubase 5). However i'm finding that alot of hardware is not yet compatible with Windows 7.

I'm just wondering what sort of set up you guys are running?

Even though i moved from a trusty XP machine to a more powerful pc it has been nothing but pains over the last few weeks to get it right.

I'm now thinking of maybe upgrading the sound card to an Edirol FA - 66 since i have heard that this things are bullet proof with Windows 7, unforunatly i cant afford a bigger card due to upgrading my studio speakers recently.

Anyways just wanting to know what combinations have worked for you and what havent?

I know ppl say that Logic is the way to go, and if i could afford rebuying all my vst's again in Logic i would, however I'm really liking the versetility of Cubase 5.
